"As the saying goes, we see in terms of our education. We look at the world and see what we have learned to believe is there. We have been conditioned to expect. And indeed it is socially useful that we agree on the function of objects. But, as photographers, we must learn to relax our beliefs. Move on objects with your eye straight on, to the left, around on the right. Watch them grow large as you approach, group and regroup as you shift your position. Relationships gradually emerge and sometimes assert themeselves with finality. And that’s your picture."

Self-taught photographer, the approach of Amargot is above all instinctive. She leaves room for imagination and helps us focus on a detail of texture, reflection, shape, color.
Each image comes from an emotion, from a revelation. Amargot tries to detect the beautiful where one can see a cruel aging, an imminent disappearance.

In March 2013,  Amargot joined the artists of Soho Myriad, an art consultant based in Atlanta (Georgia). That same year, I exhibited at the Grand Palais as part of Art en Capital.
Subsequently, I took part in various exhibitions, notably at the Salon d'Automne (Paris) where as a reward for my work, I was appointed Member.
In October 2017, I received the ADAGP prize, photography section of the Salon d'Automne.
